Forest of Reading - White Pine |
What? Forest of Reading is an Ontario Reading program which promotes the reading for enjoyment of the best of Canadian young adult fiction. A celebration is hosted by one of our Durham Catholic District School Board secondary schools in each year. The Battle of the White Pine Books happens in May of each school year. Who? This program is available to students in Grades 9 - 12. When? This program is offered December to May ~ join our White Pine team. |
| S3 (Students Striving for Success) |
What? S3 usually starts in the second term of each semester. It runs for ten weeks, three days a week, after school. Who? S3 is available to students in Grades 9 and 10 requiring support for core subjects, especially Math and English. |

What? Relax, rewind, renew ~ colouring & sketch books, board games, Lego, puzzles ... Who? Available to all students on spare, at lunch, before and after school. |
