DCDSB Schools Participate in Student Summits with Talking About Mental Illness Durham
Talking About Mental Illness (TAMI) Durham held it’s elementary and secondary school summits on November 5 and 28. 10 Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) elementary schools and all eight DCDSB secondary schools were in attendance at the summits, where they had the opportunity to learn about mental health and well-being promotion in schools. Students spent time during the summits planning promotional events/activities at their schools, with the help of their Durham Regional Public Health nurse.
Schools have been tasked with working on completing plans to support their school throughout the year and will be returning for a second summit in spring 2025 to share what they have done and to celebrate their achievements.
