Wes Hall Keynote Event at Father Leo J. Austin

On Friday, November 8, 2024, Wes Hall, entrepreneur and business professional, visited Father Leo J. Austin Catholic Secondary School to deliver a keynote titled Inspiring Hope and Overcoming Adversity. His talk, aimed at empowering Black and racialized youth, focused on his life story and the obstacles he overcame throughout his journey.

Following the keynote, a Q&A session was led by this year’s DCDSB Black Student Excellence Award winner, Sadé L., covering ways to encourage and inspire Black youth within our Catholic learning community. A big ‘thank you’ to Mr. Hall for sharing his knowledge and expertise, and to the Father Leo J. Austin Catholic School Council and the Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee for organizing this impactful event.
